 When I ordered this TV I was under the impression that it was an LED TV. When the verification came through however it described it as an LCD TV. I have since discovered that this is not all that uncommon and some TVs are even described as LED/LCD TVs. (?)

That said, for the price I am more than satisfied. I use this device as a computer monitor as well as to watch movies and stream from the internet and I am quite satisfied. Any time the picture has not been as sharp as I could hope it has been because of the quality of broadcast or streaming. When watching movies from my Blu-ray player or watching HD broadcasts or streams the picture is very nice.

If you want an affordable HDTV with a decent picture, this is a good choice. My one caveat would be that I have heard from several sources that if you do experience any problems with the equipment that LG is very unresponsive. If I had been aware of that I might have made a different choice.
